SŁOWO WSTĘPNE
Szanowni Czytelnicy naszego czasopisma!
Amen.
Powyższą modlitwę odnajdujemy m.in. w Vademecum Synodu o synodalności, a więc w oficjalnym podręczniku rozeznawania i słuchania w Kościołach lokalnych, opublikowanym we wrześniu 2021 r.
Synodalność to dużo więcej.

THE ANALYSIS OF THE CONGREGATION FOR THE DOCTRINE OF FAITH ENTITLED: DOCTRINAL NOTE ABOUT SOME BUSINESS ASPECTS AND CATHOLIC PRINCIPLES IN POLITICS
Abstract: The article reflects on the presence of the Roman Catholic Church and its faithful in politics. For this purpose, the document of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith entitled: Doctrinal Note on Certain Business Aspects and Catholic Principles in Politics was analyzed. First, the article refers to the immutability of the Church’s teaching, then points to the presence of problematic aspects of the cultural and political debate in a world of unchanging ethical values. Finally, it leads to the inclusion of secularism and pluralism in the light of the principles of Catholic doctrine. Analysis of the document leads to the conclusion that the involvement of the lay faithful in politics should be in line with the faith and principles recorded in the Gospel.

THE CONCEPT OF BEING OF REASON AS THE FINAL STEP IN THE METAPHYSICAL COGNITION
BY FRANCISCO SUÁREZ
Abstract: The paper concerns Suárez’ analysis of being of reason (ens rationis), which is often considered as the relational concept between metaphysics and logic. The study applies to the famous Jesuit of the Renaissance, whose philosophy is still little known and even surprising, although often misinterpreted. The paper contains references to source literature and some contemporary materials. I focused on the analysis of Suárez’ opinion, who returns to the classical division into real being (ens reale) and mind-dependent being (ensrationis). Accordingly, Suárez’ theory of real being – considered as the real essence of being (essentia realis) and the main subject of metaphysics – is directly linked to both the objective being (ens obiectivum), the cognitive being ( ens cognitum), and the first and second intentions of intellect (prima et secunda intentio), and in this respect he deals with the being of reason. The concept of being of reason plays a key role in establishing the conditions for an adequate understanding of the true and real object of metaphysics itself. I focused on this issue in a fairly profound and far-reaching Suárez’ approach.
Keywords: Francisco Suárez, being of reason, ens rationis, metaphysical cognition.

- Przeszkoda uprowadzenia widziana w podwójnej perspektywie. Analiza porównawcza kan. 1089 Kodeksu prawa kanonicznego oraz kan. 806 Kodeksu kanonów Kościołów wschodnich
OBSTACLE OF ABDUCTION SEEN FROM A DOUBLE PERSPECTIVE. A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF CAN. 1089 OF THE CODE OF CANON LAW AND CAN. 806 OF THE CODE OF CANONS OF THE EASTERN CHURCHES
Abstract: Since the promulgation of the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches by John Paul II in 1990, the Corpus Iuris Canonici of the Catholic Church has been created by the Code of Canon Law being legally binding in the Latin Church and the aforementioned Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches, binding the faithful Catholics of the Eastern rites. Both codes, although they have their own, different systematics, often deal with the same issues. This is what is happening with the canonical matrimonial impediments, which include the obstacle of abduction. It consists in the prohibition of entering into marriage by a woman (in the CCEC the term person is used) who has been abducted (or is held against her will) in order to marry. This obstacle has its source in the Council of Trent and –although during the preparatory codification work it was suggested to remove it – it has been retained in the current regulation in both the CCL and the CCEC.

- Literatura patriotyczna w katechezie młodzieży na przykładzie tekstu Teresy Paryny pt. Cóż to za kraj?
PATRIOTIC LITERATURE IN YOUTH CATECHESIS ON THE EXAMPLE OF TERESA PARYNA’S TEXT WHAT KIND OF COUNTRY IS THIS?
Abstract: One of the fundamental attitudes that should characterize a young catholic is patriotism. In its most fundamental essence, it is simply the love of the Fatherland. Catechesis conducted in school conditions becomes an excellent space for the realization of broadly understood patriotic education, which has been shown in this article. After defining what patriotic literature is and what are the possibilities of its use during catechesis lessons, specific proposals for the catechetical use of the poem What kind of country is this? have been presented. The author of the text is the contemporary Polish poet Teresa Paryna.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PASTORAL CARE OF OCCUPATIONAL GROUPS IN THE DIOCESE OF SIEDLCE
Abstract: Pastoral care of occupational groups constitutes a part of the categorical pastoral care which is contained within the extraordinary pastoral care. It is mainly addressed to people of various occupations and it is well-prepared to focus on their specific conditions and religious needs which result from their professions. Pastoral care of occupational groups is complementary to the ordinary pastoral care which is mainly realized in parishes. The development of the occupational pastoral care in the diocese of Siedlce, which is a part of the diocese of Lublin, is typical for any diocese in Poland. This type of pastoral care was particularly popular during the final decade of the 20th century and in the first decade of the 21st century which resulted from the dynamic social, political and cultural changes. In the 1980s and 1990s pastoral care of workers and farmers was the most developed pastoral care among other types and it was the exemplary basis which led to creating the pastoral care of occupational groups and others. After the transformations of 1989 new occupations appeared in the diocese of Siedlce and it resulted in creating another pastoral care meant for them. This also led to the appearance of the pastoral care intitiatives connected with spending free time.

CIVIC ATTITUDE OF THE CHRISTIAN
Abstract: This article is an attempt to characterize the civic attitude of a Christian. The analysis of the source texts allows for the following conclusions to be distinguished. The goal of human society is the common good, understood as the conditions of social life that enable individuals to develop individually, and thus to reach for perfection both individually and collectively. The teaching of the Church helps in comprehending and harmoniously implementing the common good. The attitude of Christians, resulting from Christian formation and characterized by multiple activities in social, economic and political life, full of responsibility, can be recognized as the most complete civic attitude because it is based on the commandment of love. It excludes all manifestations of disrespect for the dignity of the human person, takes into account integral human development and acts in accordance with the principles of the common good, subsidiarity, solidarity, participation and the universal destination of goods.
Keywords: person’s dignity, common good, Christian formation, social commitment.

THE PRESENCE OF CHRISTIAN AXIOLOGY IN GOOD POLITICS
Abstract: At the beginning, the article presents social values and principles which, due to their essence and function, cannot be negotiated and undermined in any way. Then, the contemporary teaching of the Church is presented about its position towards politics, which has been formed over the centuries. The last part attempts to explain how, according to the teaching of the Church’s Magisterium, should look like the political activity of the lay faithful, who are entitled to it and even obliged to undertake it. To write this dissertation, the author mainly used the deductive-critical method with the analysis of source texts related to in-depth reflection on Christian values and the role of the Church community in creating social and political life.
Keywords: axiology, truth, freedom, justice, love, politics, Christianity.

“HE THAT FORMED THE EYE, SHALL HE NOT SEE?” (PS 94:9): ANALYSIS OF THE EMPIRICAL SYSTEM AND THEOLOGICAL REFLECTION
Abstract: The article includes an analysis of the possibility of an unguided stochastic evolution of the vision system of a living organism (vertebrate) on the basis of available literature data using a systemic approach. From this point of view, the model of biological evolution should take into account the necessary changes in subsystems and cooperating suprasystems, ensuring if not an advantage, then at least a satisfactory functioning of the organ of vision. Empirical observations do not confirm the expectations imposed by the evolutionary hypothesis, thus stimulating theological reflection. Theology, dealing with the human experience of God, therefore has the basis for enriching this experience with
empirical knowledge, helping to find the answer to the fundamental question: “He that formed the eye, shall he not see?” (Ps 94:9).
Keywords: theology, science, eye, evolution, system analysis, transitional process.

THE EDUCATIONAL FUNCTION OF THE FAMILY IN THE LIGHT OF SELECTED VIEWS OF THE PERSONALISTIC PHILOSOPHY
Abstract: In the era of contemporary discussion on the condition of the family understood in its broad horizon (social, economic, ideological, worldview), it is often emphasized what special role this basic individual plays in society. However, among the various functions of the family, the educational function comes to the fore, as an identity crisis is perceived both at the local and global level. This crisis affects both individuals and specific national and state communities. However, it is possible to overcome this crisis. It is the family that fulfills its basic task, ie educates people to live in society through the prism of values. Personalism as a contemporary response to the identity crisis and an anthropological crisis, in some opposition to both the liberal and postmodern currents, creates – as it seems – an important and interesting perspective on the possibility of understanding the educational function. The aim of this article, which is mainly philosophical in nature, will be an attempt to answer the question of how selected representatives of contemporary personalism explain the educational function of the family and what implications it may bring.

A SPECIFIC ECCLESIAL DIMENSION OF CONCERN FOR THE DISPOSAL OF TEMPORAL GOODS IN THE COMMUNITY OF THE CHURCH
Abstract: The Church engages salvific goals. To achieve these goals, material goods are necessary. Their completion takes place in the existential conditions of the natural order of things. The basic and personal goals, due to which the Church has the right to dispose of the collected temporal goods, are: to organize God’s worship, to ensure the proper maintenance of the clergy and other church workers, to conduct works of the apostolate and charity, especially towards the poor. The emerging limitations on the property of the Church are determined by the teaching of Christ and promulgated laws of the supreme legislator, who is the steward of all ecclesiastical goods.
Keywords: material goods, the purposefulness of having material goods, intellectual property, the right to possess.
